AIS has a special way of bringing different communities together and making them feel warm, welcomed and respected. As a parent, I have had the pleasure to get to know the wonderfully committed teachers and staff. I truly have enjoyed working with them over the years. AIS will always have a special place in our hearts. All the best for the future!

As a parent with a teaching background, I knew it was important to find a small nurturing school with a community orientated focus. How great it was to have found AIS in Jakarta. A school with an Australian curriculum in Indonesia, an amazing experience for the whole family.

AIS is a multicultural school that has truly been a second home to my family. Even if there is any other great school in Indonesia to send the kids to, we will still choose AIS for sure.

As a parent, you will always be warmly welcomed by Parents & Friends community at AIS. I love being a part of the committee and have had many opportunities to be involved in many events. Besides learning what activities are taking place at the school, I found it easy to communicate with the teachers and staff. We feel like a part of the big AIS family.

Collectively the AIS team identified Eliza's needs and provided just the right support when it was required. We could not have asked for a more caring, professional, amazing group of people to guide, cajole and lead our daughter through the challenges of IB. She could not have done it without you and for that we will always be grateful.

Our two girls are very close with each other and it has always been a wonderful thing to see but this often hinders their relationship with their peers. In the global world they are growing up in, it becomes more and more important for them to have the courage to speak their mind, be imaginative and be socially mature. AIS gives them the opportunity to be exposed to different cultures and taught them to understand the beauty of differences.
We want them to be busy chasing their dreams instead of spending their lives working to make someone else's dream come true. And AIS teach them to be creator, not just followers. When we found AIS, we found something we didn't find before. AIS helps our girls become more confident. They used to be shy but now they are very comfortable speaking up in public and even enjoy performing. They also often surprised us with their perspectives on things.

Our family has been at AIS for 9 years now, and it has been gratifying to see it evolve into such a well-developed school. It offers the Australian Curriculum including the inquiry approach, strong management and teaching staff, lots of outdoor play space, a great location, a full range of extra-curricular activities and very strong swimming, soccer and basketball programs. AIS’ inclusive student body has taught my children tolerance and empathy, which are valuable life skills.
All 3 of my children have had wonderful experiences at AIS, with its small school environment giving them the confidence and opportunity to participate fully in school life. They are very involved in school sports and performances and leadership positions, not all of which would be possible in a larger school far from home. The AIS parent body is particularly involved and friendly, and we AIS mums feel lucky to be part of such a close-knit community.

Well, it’s been more than a year and half since we put our only daughter Asumi to AIS. Asumi came here with a very little experience in being with other nationalities. She was intimidated at first and was not confident with her English either. And look now how she has improved and achieved in just a year or so. I think Asumi has dramatically developed into a very good student with a sense of balance and comprehensive reasoning. The AIS teachers are so friendly and mothers are very enthusiastic. I trust the supporting staff people as well.
All of us Japanese mothers are so happy about the entire school and the way it teaches, guides, cares, nurtures, and enlightens the kids. Here at AIS, I am so confident that it definitely is the BEST school in Indonesia. And I am sure Asumi would say the same thing to you. She is so proud of AIS and so am I.

We entered the AIS family in 2007 with a daughter who was a sensitive and shy girl then. We saw her grow confidently during these years through attendance at Thinking & Learning support and also Emotional & Social development. We observed that AIS teachers are very warm and caring towards kids and this positive approach helps children grow their confidence.
We are happy to say that AIS teachers have helped my daughter in many ways and been supportive at every turning point in her school journey during past years.

I have never lived outside of Australia when I moved here. I was terrified at the idea. However, when I moved to AIS, that all disappeared as the experiences I gained from school activities, and the friends I made along the way, helped enormously. Being involved in the Student Representative Council, Mentoring, House Captain, AISA competitions and in other ways, I have been able to represent the school and have fun. I will never forget these experiences.

I have the fondest memories of playing team sport with my friends in BSSA. I especially enjoyed playing soccer in Vietnam and Singapore. I have been in AIS for 15 years and this school has always felt like family, with all my friends and the kind teachers. AIS is a great school and I will the students and teachers very much.

It has been a privilege to attend a global school in Asia where the students are focused on learning and creating such a high level of doing their best. My high school education in Australia certainly wouldn't have offered me so many diverse opportunities. Highlights of my time in AIS would include playing music, creating IB films, participating in the Vietnam camp and being a member of the Muay Thai/Boxing CCA. I’ve made many friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime.
