Celebrating the father and father figure in our lives, Australian Independent School (AIS) welcomed many dads and significant males in the students' lives on Friday, September 8 for a very special Father's Day visit to school. Everyone enjoyed a warm breakfast followed by "Dedicated Dad Time" where they visited their child's classroom, or just played together on the school grounds. Everyone was asked to wear a tie, some of the students even hand-made and decorated their own custom ties so their dads could wear it on the occasion.
The celebration was topped by the performance from Years 3 and 4 students who presented a “Hip Hop Father’s Day” rap song and danced at the Father's Day Assembly. It had the entire audience in AIS multi-court moving and grooving to the beat. AIS faculty greatly appreciates the many dads and father figures who made it on the very special day to spend some quality time with their children and hoped that all the fathers enjoyed their special day.
