Kicking off 2019 with GREAT news from AIS Bali. Our Year 12 Students closed off last year by successfully completing their course and receiving excellent ATAR scores, particularly William Murray who achieved a 96.40 score.
The ATAR is the primary criterion for entry into most undergraduate-entry university programs in Australia. The ATAR is a percentile score given between "less than 30" up to 99.95 which denotes a student's ranking relative to their peers in Australia upon completion of their secondary education.
When asked what words of wisdom would he share with his juniors, William who has been offered placement at his first choice Deakin University studying Law/International Studies said:
"The final years of secondary school experience is definitely stressful, time-consuming, and something most students look forward to reaching the end of. However, with the right mindset, support people, and school, it can be an enjoyable adventure that ends up being some of the best years. The key is balance; your responsibility as a student and active member of the AIS community is to find balance in what you do. Make sure you are studying for that upcoming test but do also hang out with friends from time to time. Put your hand up and apply yourself to any situation you can, SRC, sports events... but don’t forget to enjoy your well-deserved breaks. Balance will help you push through to your end of year result goals."
